Re: Movie sources?
I generally have the same problem in the torrent department. There's a decent amount of material on tehparadox.com and its a pretty active site (if you can find things hosted on ultramegabit, its amazingly fast), but in general a lot of the download forums got wrecked when they changed all the laws ...

Re: Neal Stephenson
I don't even know if anyone still cares to peruse this forum, but I recently finished Reamde and it was really quite good. Definitely worth picking up.

Re: Homeland
Started watching after seeing this, really quite good. But I'm not happy about the wife cutting her hair. I assume its for V or whatever, but she's so much hotter with it long.

When you posted this I was really hoping a certain dragon would make an appearance.

American Gods - Neil Gaiman
Despite his popularity I never really looked into his books previously, but I was at the book store fucking around and I had like 20 bucks free, so i figured why not. The characters and main idea of the story are pretty cool, and I really liked the idea of having gods that have been relegated to obs...

Re: Alias
That's actually sort of difficult to answer. Its definitely fun, and its interesting to watch the romances brew and so forth, but in true J.J. fashion, it sort of.........makes a sharp turn toward batshit crazy after a while. If you like Fringe and liked Lost, then you'll probably like it, I did. Bu...

Re: A Game of Thrones
I I pictured everything outside of the Red Keep as being very crowded, and sort of filthy. Kind of more like how the city was portrayed in Rome. ^That. I dunno I guess I just sort of pictured it as having the keep and city very separated. A giant pretentious Targaryen stronghold and then this filth...

Re: A Game of Thrones
Yeah, i didnt know about that either really. Maybe its just been a while since i read them but I didn't really remember that going down, or at least not in such a blatant manner. As for Kings Landing, thats what pretty much everyone has said to me as well, and I tend to agree. There is definitely so...

Re: the name of the wind
Finished book two yesterday, was a lot better than the first, if a bit long winded throughout the tangential plotlines. How long will it take for the third, I wonder? GRRM anyone?

Re: A Game of Thrones
I've been really enjoying this so far. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the girl playing Daenerys, but then she was like IM A FUCKING DRAGON BITCH and I fell in love all over again. The casting is really fucking excellent, the kids are all perfect point for point, and Jaime is exactly how I pi...

Thanks, though I suppose I have you to thank for getting me into this band in the first place all those years ago! Will listen soon.
