Gaming Headsets

Post by Meldred »

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good gaming headset? I wear glasses so I need some that are comfortable and don't press your frames into your skull.

icemat siberia...the sound is amazing. the only downside is the mic is really sensitive, as anyone that has heard my roommates making dinner in the background can attest to.

Those look kinda annoying, I don't want to clip that mic to my shirt every time I play a game. Does your roomate wear glasses, because that will make a big difference on if I'd like them or not.

I use a Sennheiser PC 151, granted I don't wear glasses, but I can't see it being different. It doesn't touch the area above the ears where the glasses frame would be. Sound quality is really good and it comes with good long cables.

These are like mine here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6826106347

I have to say the best headset i have ever had. They dont effect me when i wear glasses and they sound great. I have had these for 3yrs now no problems yet. I like the wrap style more also. My only downfall on this headset is the foam on the ears is almost gone now but 3yrs is a long time to own a set.

This is the set I own here. http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones-head ... ml?tag=nav

Does anybody else use single-ear headsets? I like to have one ear free for hearing my TV, Game Sounds, Music, etc. and I just pipe my ventrilo through the headset. I'm shopping for a new one but it seems like the pickings are slim.

I had one of those. The cable to the volume control is flaky IMO, it broke after a couple months and I swear I wasn't swinging it around. There is something else I swing around and it ain't broken... yet.

yeah, i wear glasses sometimes with the icemats, and they're fine

i don't clip the mic to my shirt, i just unhooked it from the main wire and have it on top of my monitor

depends what you want them for...i can hear the shells of a silenced colt falling from really far away with the icemats...some sennheisers are good too
