Plane Treadmill
Re: Plane Treadmill
it won't take off.
Re: Plane Treadmill
This question is stupid because its so ambiguous. If the treadmill can keep up, it would be better to phrase the question: "A conventional airplane is cabled to the ground. Can it take off." The answer? No. Airspeed velocity sufficient to provide enough lift to counteract gravity is not achieved.

Re: Plane Treadmill
well, if the plane isn't hooked, and the engine's give enough thrust--with the treadmill providing a long enough take-off roll, the plane will take off ^^Azurai wrote:This question is stupid because its so ambiguous. Re: Plane Treadmill
The problem comes down to interpretation and hypotheticals which is why there are so many people who all believe they have the right answers.
My plane takes off.

Re: Plane Treadmill
Oh, so aircraft leap into the air as long as they're at full thrust, since forward momentum relative to air flow doesn't matter?

Re: Plane Treadmill
Problem is too vague. Need to know about the air and type of plane.
Re: Plane Treadmill
People just need to let this die. I wasn't even here for it during Naxx and I am already sick of it. lol
