Any tips for KJ before we start the month-long wipe fest?

Only to replace the Naaru Sliver with an alchemy stone or Memento!

Fetal position (British English: foetal) is a medical term used to describe the positioning of the body of a prenatal fetus as it develops. In this position, the back is curved, the head is bowed, and the limbs are bent and drawn up to the torso.

This position is used in the medical profession to minimize injury to the neck and chest.

Sometimes, when a person has suffered extreme physical or psychological trauma (including massive stress), they will assume the fetal position or a similar position in which the back is curved forward, the legs are brought up as tightly against the abdomen as possible, the head is bowed as close to the abdomen as possible, and the arms are wrapped around the head to prevent further trauma. This position provides better protection to the brain and vital organs than simply lying spread out on the ground, so it is obvious as to why it is an instinctual reaction to extreme stress or trauma when the brain is no longer able to cope with the surrounding environment, and in essence "shuts down" temporarily.

The fetal position has been observed in drug addicts, who enter the position when experiencing withdrawal.

Many people assume this position when sleeping, especially when the body becomes cold.

Besides the point.

You get 720 - 1200 mana back from the Alch trinket. So 960 average, and we'll say 1000 to be fair.

That's 2000 mana every 4 minutes assuming you chug directly on your cooldown. However, you don't pot the second a fight starts. You probably wait a good minute or even two before you need the 2520 - 4200 mana you'll get from your pot (factoring in the Alch return). So you're looking at (roughly) 5 to 6 minutes in order to get an extra 2000 mana out of your alch trinket.

The Sliver is a flat 2000 mana and you'll get all of that back if you aren't a blithering retard when you use it. It's 5.1 seconds for me to channel while hero'd (which I usually use while I'm heroed because I'm not retarded) or about 6.8 seconds with my haste and no hero. I can easily get either channel off.

Now, that's on a 5 minute cooldown.

So you're looking at roughly 2000 mana on average from the alch stone every 5 - 6 minutes, and 2000 mana from the Sliver every 5 minutes. On top of that, if I pot when you do, I get 3600 - 6000 mana back as well. So, it essentially evens out.

ONLY HOW MANY FIGHTS EVEN LAST LONG ENOUGH TO POT TWICE.

A fair amount, but not every fight. Oh on a fight like KJ, I can get the Sliver off during the first Spirit Bolts and again before we do the final phase. So 4000 extra mana on top of my pots as well.

Alchemy Stone is mathematically superior on any fight that matters. :(
