Rodeo - Hoedown by Aaron copland- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3M9e-IdKfyA
A good starting point to music excellence. Notice no rap, because rap is the spawn of retards.

I usually use some techno due to the length and adrenaline pump-age it gives.Maverek wrote:Any of you recommend some fast pace music you like, that you listen to while you run/workout.

So on that note:
1. Confusion-New Order
2. DJ Tiesto-Adagio for Strings
3. DJ Mangoo-Eurodancer
4. Zombie Nation-Kernkraft 400
Considering Confusion is a 12 minute song i think it'll count as 2 songs.
GL
EDIT: If thats not what floats your boat, any 5 of Metallica (Pre St. Anger)
also works
Re: Good workout/running music list
Very nice and interesting songs Azurai!!
Re: Good workout/running music list
Whats a good music Dl'er currently I use Bitcomet and just google songs and DL from like demonid.com or piretbay.com. But most of the songs come in bulk like all the artists songs or a best list. I just want to DL single songs. Also does the site you know of have a big library of songs cause some of my music and the song "A-team theme" seem like it'd be hard to find.

Rap = Rhythmic American Poetry (which can be amazing)~ you must be talking about hip hop or southern attempts at Rap...Azurai wrote:A good starting point to music excellence. Notice no rap, because rap is the spawn of retards.

That's because most people are rap/hip-hop n00bs and think 50 = the whole genre.

Yes this is good! to add to the list, K'naan, jedi mind tricks, blue scholars and many more. You can learn so much about the good side of Rap by picking one good artist and basing a Pandora station off of them.
Re: Good workout/running music list
My workout playlist is mostly linkin park. I throw in some old school 80's punk songs and put it on random so when one of those songs come up I sprint for about 90 seconds till the song is done (they are usually not long). Makes for a good run!
Re: Good workout/running music list
I'm going to break your 5 song rule.
I listen to several songs by Paul Oakenfold, namely: Ready, Steady, Go and Switch On (feat Ryan Tedder)

Sometimes, you just have to be fucking awesome.

Make a Pandora station and use PandoraRip. You'll have a nice library in no time. Make a station based on Pendulum. You'll have some good work out music in no time.

Re: Good workout/running music list
Ooooooooooooh
Bad Stone kicks ass. Tight album overall. The second track off of their 3rd album, Legion of Boom, is also amazing. It's called "Born Too Slow" and has the singer from Kyuss, and I think Wes Borland on guitar?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9MFrRyfQek
More Crystal Method + Wes Borland ownage
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Out4wtHLFBE
I was never a huge QotSA fan, but I love Kyuss. If you like them, you'll probably like Hermano and Unida. Both solid stoner rock/desert rock. I like the music because it's got a good groove, but doesn't make me run too fast like death metal does
And yeah, Pendulum are one of my fav DnB outfits. Definitely good shit there. Their remix of Prodigy's Voodoo People is sick.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKXKWBcaV3A
They have good remixes in general. Their essential mix set from 9/18/05 is also very tight. A lot of very different styles, and a good overall tempo blend. Amazing stuff for workouts, or just dancing 8)
You can't do DnB w/out hitting up High Contrast. They too have amazing original material, as well as remixes.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1phimcqTjqs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HR1nfdDlHkc
Their remix of Future Sound of London's "Papua New Guinea" is simply epic. (FSoL are also amazing). It's such a simple but beautiful hook, and the beats just provide great energy.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBY3iq-tJ34
Remix of The White Stripes' "Blue Orchid." Longish intro (typical), but when the drop hits, you'll definitely be tearing shit up.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXVsRKi54Pk
Their remix of The Streets' "It's Too Late" is also beautiful. I can't find it on YouTube though :(
Diverse - Certified. Tiiiiiiiiiight. Sexy flow over organic rock beats.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiWII8uDqUk
Overseer - Doomsday. Good flow. Cool lyrics. Distorted guitars. Mmmmm.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pawtaa0Jdhs
EZ-Rollers - RS2000. Tight DnB. Most of the groups on the Moving Shadow label are good, though some lean towards jungle and/or jazz breaks, so depends on your tastes.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhaiWq7CRWA
Random mashups also own.
JoJo's "Too Little Too Late" vs Ludacris' "Money Maker." Yeah yeah, whatever. I'm a sucker for random female pop hooks, and this mashup works well, esp the rapping as the first chorus swells in.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKLLbJKk0bY
One of my all time favorite pop mashups. It's smooth as fuck, and the sync is just awesome. Pheugoo's mashups in general are high quality. Plus it's the Monterey Pop version of Hey Joe, which just takes it up another notch imo.
Christina Milian vs Hendrix. Crazy, I know, but it works.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxPr6wnOXrw
Hendrix vs Jay-Z. Wheeeeeee.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLXIujg1bKM
Hendrix vs Snoop.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8c9iLxHbYrM
I often like to cool down and then stretch to Xploding Plastix. They are a simply out of this world jazz ensemble take on organic trip hop. Great drumming. Their album Amateur Girlfriends Go Proskirt Agents is just sick.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ljy47rl11y8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfV93ZMSmOQ
One of my fav tracks on the album. Great beat.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0_RNSSfJpY
As usual, I got totally carried away. Fucking music threads.
