If you're upgrades to windows 7 RTM from windows 7 RC or beta, you may wanna check out this trick to prevent a clean install..

It is generally not recommended to do that though, better to do a clean install

Now if only I could find a way to upgrade from RC to RTM Enterprise... We're experimenting here at work.

edit: problem solved. Changing "Ultimate" to "Enterprise" in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion does the trick, if anyone else was in my position of having free Enterprise but no Ultimate available.

Thanks for this, worked like a charm. Altered the version file and injected it back into the iso so I can just use the cd whenever and never have to worry about beta/RC issues.
