I like how the season has a high-intensity feel to it, right off the bat. It's cool to see Dexter so caged in, and under attack from multiple fronts. I suppose the whole "omg, someone *else* is about to discover what Dexter really is" theme has been done every season, but I like the loss of control that seems like it's going to govern this season. I hope they do something really cool. Having him descend into madness, becoming an anti-hero would be awesome, but is probably too much to hope for. Still one of the few shows worth watching imo.

Looks like this shit is finally picking up. Ep1 and 2 were pretty snoozefest but most of that had to be done i think. With the kids out of the way shit can finally happen. I hope Quinn doesn't turn into some fucking doakes2.0 cause that would be fucking lame.

When I first started watching Dexter I never really thought of the show in terms of like, individual episodes, but rather a 12 hour long story (each season). I didn't get into it until after season 4 had already ended, so I had the opportunity to watch each season in day long blocks and that's what made the show really good for me.

Watching season 5 week to week has been a little weird, but I just keep reminding myself that the overall story of the season is what makes the show and not so much the power of each individual episode. That being said, this season seems a little dull I guess. It just depends on where they go with figuring out who killed Rita, Dexter's involvement, this new girl's involvement and the new villains involvement. I think there's potential!
