Just curious! I work in IT Recruitment, but only in the SF Bay Area. I *could* recruit for out of area, just that our company is geographically oriented in terms of what we should be focusing on.

Currently, I earn income off of:
-Pick-up artist
-Drilling holes in swiss cheese at a factory
-Expanding on my Psychology major/resume while working for a clinic helping some pretty screwed up people.
All of those, save one, will be put on a standstill as I travel Australia next year. Fuck working, life is short. Stop wishing, start doing.

It's JC Penny, isn't it?
I work as a Software Developer and Systems Designer (in short, I'm a programmer) for Progressive Insurance. I work on the software that pays (usually automatically) the bodyshop after they fix your car, or the doctor after they fix your face cause you were retarded and didn't wear a seatbelt and got ejected out of your windshield at 50 mph.

Lots of people from many different professions I see!
Who hates their job though? /raises hand
I'm trying to get back into hands on IT, used to do it and I kinda just fell into what I'm doing now. Looking back I *sorta* regret it, I did gain a lot of skills here that I'll use elsewhere for sure, but I'm not sure if it was worth it.

Sys admins are "the firemen of the internet" as one told me once. I heard they're overpaid lazy people that sit around and play on computers though *cough fuzzynavel*
