G'damn!

Also, AMD overclocked their new Phenom II x4 recently to 7 ghz (liquid nitrogen). Still awesome.

Yea they are throwing some impressive OC's on those amd cpu's. Everyone is going to Intel now so might as well push the limits on stuff no one wants to try to pull people back to amd.

Cant wait to see the new 300 cards. About time they get into some new architecture instead of just re releasing the same shit with a new number.

I prefer Guru3d myself  :

Both are good sites. 4770 is an awesome card for the money. I want two 275's in SLi myself though.

Pretty sure a single 285 is better than 2x 275's in SLI.

Only if the game doesn't support SLI. 275's and 285's are very, very similar in performance. You were probably thinking of 295's (2x275's on a single card) The better argument is whether SLI is ever worth it for you without a >1920x1200 display. And even then, it's debatable.

I am not planning on buying this because my 8800 has a higher number than this new 300. That means it's better.

This is correct. The 8800 is at least 22 times better.

But the 8800 is a prefix to the GT, where as the 300 is a suffix. Since engrish is left --> right, therefore the 300 is superior.

:roflwerd:

When they come out with an 8800GT300, I will buy it.

Yeah but when you add up all the digits in the model numbers, the 8800 comes out to 16, whereas the 300 only comes out to 3. 16 is much better than 3.

Oh shit, yeah I never thought of that. Aus, if you ever build a video card, I would buy it, cause I know you'll name it something super powerful like the X9999
