I'm sure many of you knew this was on its way, but was looking through the net to see how far along it is coming and saw HBO finally made an official site for it!! I'm excited for this and hope to all that is holy that they don't ruin it!

Omfg, the first episode was awesome. I came in my pants. So good. Now I'm all fired up to reread the books. Perfect timing too, as I was fiending for something new to watch, especially since Camelot almost put me to sleep.

Season 2 greenlit after only 1 episode, lmao.

Hm, I liked the first two episodes a lot, but the third was kind of annoying. They added a lot that wasn't in the book, and while I expected that, it was almost all pretty annoying. Seeing some of the scenery is cool. King's Landing doesn't look at all like I imagined it though, lol.

I think I only noticed one scene that I don't remember from the book. What annoyed me was that they condensed like 2 of the characters from the North Wall into Tyrion for some odd reason. I guess because of the overwhelming number of characters the story has already (and more to come) I guess.
In all 3 episodes so far they're also sort of portraying certain characters a little differently than what I expected - Benjen seems completely different in the show than he did in the book for example. Also Catelyn is a little off. I don't know.
The show is telling the same story as the book, just in a different way. I'm enjoying it so far.

The Wall looks fucking awesome. I've loved every episode and I think the casting is perfect, especially Baellish and Daenerys + brother.

I just reread the first book and am on the second, so maybe the differences are standing out more. Who knows. A few more eps in the season would probably help a lot.

I read a piece somewhere where they decided to condense (scenes and some chars) because they didn't want to lose the audience in the complexity of the storylines so early in the show. GRR, I guess helped the process along, but so far it hasn't deviated enough where I'd be too annoyed watching it.
I agree that King's Landing is nothing like I imagined. My favorite portrayals so far have been Eddard, Jon, and Tyrion in the show, but it isn't necessarily the same list while reading the books.
So far, I'm enjoying the show immensely.

Watching this show one episode at a time is pissing me off. Now is when I wish I could just throw on 3 seasons worth of DVDs and have at it. :)
Love the show. I'm on book 3 now.

I never read the books all the way through so this is first impressions for me. I love it so far. Catelyn seems like she will be such a bad ass eventually. Also the faggy knight seems like he could be a badass also.
edit: i meant auria.

I've been really enjoying this so far. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the girl playing Daenerys, but then she was like IM A FUCKING DRAGON BITCH and I fell in love all over again. The casting is really fucking excellent, the kids are all perfect point for point, and Jaime is exactly how I pictured him. And then theres fucking Dinklage making being a midget awesome.

Is there this much pornography in the book? I heard it was raunchy.. the latest episode had quite the peculiar scene with the two girls at first om nom noming then goin' at it like men and I'm thinking "What the fuck is all this now?" (as Baelish recites his little history.) That scene was like 1/8th of the entire episode. It's an amazing series, don't get me wrong, the sets, the cast, the writing and such; but scenes like that remind of typical HBO (Sopranos and Bada-Bing etc).
Great show.

Um...more, to be honest.

So, haven't watched any since ep 3. Just downloaded the rest and have been catching up. On ep. 5 now. The Eyrie looks fucking amazing. Probably the best scenery so far (still can't get over how different King's Landing is from what I imagined).
But what, THE FUCK, is the deal with Renly and Loras. Seriously? During the tourney I thought Loras was just badly cast because he wasn't pretty enough. Then when he's shaving Renly's chest, I'm like, ok, that's a little weird...and then BAM. WTF.
