I'm going to have to say that I am torn between UO, EQ, and WoW.

I liked UO because of the housing, man that was fun, and the fact that I think the game was way ahead of it's time. I quit when they introduced Trammel, which was just a clone of the current land... BAH lazy programmers. I recently was sent one of those emails to reactivate your account for 7days, I did it and I was amazed at how aweful the graphics were. ROFL never remember them being so bad.

I loved EQ because it was so damn big, up until I quit playing I was still seeing places I had never seen. I also really liked that they released expansions so frequent, I know this pissed a lot of people off but I liked seeing something new all the time and new features.

And what can I say about WoW, it is a pretty good mix. Since the game is new, they are of course still working on it. But, I think that considering how new the game is, the bugs are very low. I think we can expect to see many more things from this one.

UO was amazing back in the day. There are actually server emulators out there and people have set up legacy servers with the old rules and no trammel, etc. I used to play on one. The biggest is probably uogamers.com.

I played on one of those for a bit, I think my problem is definitely that now that I have seen games like (EQ, WoW) the graphics and lag are horrible to me. How was the lag on uogamers?

Allthough I am going to have to say EQ for now, you really should have at least 2 options up there. EQ prePoP and EQ postPoP the game really isn't the same anymore. I am sure, over time WoW will become more complete and fulfill my MMorpg needs =p

What did you like better? Planes or no planes?

There were some things I liked from planes, but the majority I didn't like. I will always prefer prePoP EQ to what it is now.

I agree with you. Not sure if you ever played UO, but I started hating the game when they began giving the players too much of what they want... there is a fine line between what the want (and deserve) and what the players want (and just doesnt really belong in the game) and UO crossed that line. I think EQ did some of that with PoP

I'd have to say EQ, followed closely by UO. The challenge of dieing in both of these games actually gave me something to worry about.. the risk v reward factor (and staying up till 5am on a corpse retrievel). EQ definitely sunk it's claws into me and I let it eat me up. I have so many great memories from all of these games though. The community was what really had me in Everquest and that's why it gets my vote.
