Change your life

I am from Europe and I have never ever planned to join your guild...Just wanted to state that before I drop my bomb.

So, Vis Maior? Without knowing anyone of you I suppose each of you play the game atleast 5-6 hours/day and most of you probably more. I bet the majority of you guys got crap education, crap job ("I LOVE WORKING IN THE STORAGEROOM") and some maybe dont even have a job OR education. Why? BECUZ YOU SPEND YOUR LIFE ON A GAME! Keep reading, and you will realise how rediciulous your life is...

I was reading some on mmo champion and discovered you were progressing in SP. Then I got to your "recruitment" tab just to see what you are "looking for". I gotta say, you did a bad job surprising me. I mean, you guys are sick. You raid 8 - 1,3 every day? I mean, thats insanity. Thats NOT humane. Thats f*cking crazy! And the worst part is that you dont make it sound like a big deal. Can't you see what you are doing to your lives? You are tearing it apart! You are nothing IRL and that you actually have forum post named "IRL" really makes me laugh...or maybe I cried...I had tears dropping down my cheek, thats for sure.

I guess most of you are 18+. Some might even be 22-25, your best age. (Do you got 30+ ? Perhaps. Wuack, I start to shiver now...) When the hell are you gonna realise that this is a game, and that you are NOTHING, i mean NOTHING, IRL. In the game, you might out tank everyone, out heal anyone, out dps anyone. Gah! That's the dorkiest I've ever heard. In real life, you mean NOTHING.

I quote "If you make a mistake, you will hear about it. Then you will hear about it again, and again, and again. If you cannot take a joke, we are not the guild for you.". I mean. COMOOOONNNN! Get a grip. That is so redicilous. I can only imagine when the GM starts yelling at the new guy who dunno what to do, and the rest of you are just licking his juicidoubbles while you sit layed back in your chair clicking a fucking button. I mean, its so pathetic. Guildmasters and officers are acting like you have power, and you are like "Define me" "Love me!" "I am the best" "I want everyones attention". Sigh....

You are talking about pushing yourself to new encounters bla bla. Can't you see what a load of bullshit this is? Pushing yourself? For WHAT? Purple text that you can't even touch irl? Epic shit you can brag about ingame? You are pathetic. Pathetic.

When you are 30 years old, you are going to look back at your life, wondering what you did. If not when you are 30, then when you are 40. Somewhere along the road, you are going to regret that you wasted your life on a stupid game, instead of doing something that mattered. Man...

My point? Stop going hardcore, stop making this game more serious than it already is. Stop making such a fuss about it. You are turning this game into a god damn proffesion and encourage people to stop living their lives for a three dimensinoal fake life. Why I ask myself, WHY? You are tragic people. And you Gms and officers, believing that you are doing something good, are the most fucking tragical persons of all. You guys have probably already lost the reality around you.

Play the game, I do it myself. But stop being in a hardcoregaming guild and sound like mr. I-can-do-everything-i-want-and-I-am-so-cool man. Go Casual. Play the game at evenings, raid sometimes. But the most important thing, don't forget that you are a human being and that you can do something with your life. Dont lie to yourself about it. Dont lie to yourself about you being "a guy with wow as interest". You are sacrificing your life to wow, not having it as a hobby. Start go to work, go out excercise, go out and take some classes, hang out with friends, go party, cuz I know EVERYONE of you are capable of that. Dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

In a coupple of years, many of you are going to think "Hmm, that stupid fkcking kid on our forum wazz raight ffs. I waz waztin' ma laif". Believe me, you are just not mature enough to realize it yet. /gquit? Make it easy, turn the guild into a less raiding one and keep your pride!

Wow...someone is pissed that a bunch of highly educated computer scientists, biologists, doctors, current college/university students and one highschooler got the world firsts.

Wow, I'm impressed this guy wrote a troll post just for us! I feel special! =D

But yeah, we have a really large number of people in college and/or with really good jobs. If I had to guess, I bet the average salary and education in VM is pretty high compared to the norm. =P

I graduated valedictorian of my class in college while still playing.

All of your points are moot as well as completely biased with no true research done at all. You read something on mmo champion and then you read a recruitment tab.. congrats on forming such an outstanding opinion on so little.

After being around online gaming for as long as I have this type of person comes and goes quite frequently. They're just trying to find a way to make their own lives look better than people who enjoy what they do, have extra time to do it with, and do it well.

When was the last time you were recognized by a community in the thousands, let alone millions?

I have a murloc ringtone. What do you think of that!

And for what it's worth. I'm very happy with my life. Perhaps, if you were happier with your own, you would spend more time worrying about it, than someone else's.

I came into the forum to post a grats message in a seperate topic, but I saw this post and thought I'd follow up being an outsider to this guild. I knew some of your old members from my college, and it was ridiculous what those guys could accomplish. I remember one time specifically I was over at Tyraff's dorm while he was raiding and hosting girls for beer pong at the same time (back in the MC days, guess he was doing lazy dps or something). It really amazed me how they just managed to juggle WoW, senior class work, jobs, internships, engineering studies, clubs/fraternities etc among everything else.

I was actually a WCIII player hardcore, but when WoW came out I didn't play because I figured it would ruin my studies. Seeing what these guys could accomplish and still have girlfriends, still graduate high in their class, and moved on to high paying, well respected jobs? I picked up WoW right after. Anyone who says "wow you must not have lives" is someone who just can't seem themselves able to do what you guys do. Lots of respect to VM and raiders of your calibur.

Someone once told me that everyone who plays WoW thinks they've got it just right, that players above them "have no life" and players below them "are nubs". I think its more like top raiders out there have it all figured out, how else would they juggle what they do and their normal lives? Good luck to you guys in your future stuff, I wish I'd never transfered out of the server. Webin/Mech were always helpful and whenever I was on your public vent you guys were hilarious.

Talisen: You know, I dont try to make my life look better. I just dont need to, compared to you. When you say I havent done any research, sure, but i dont need to either. Dont you think I know hardcore gamers? I dont try to look beeter than you, why would I? You live like 1000000000 miles away from me. If I would have tried to look better myself, I would have written this somewhere else to get people to agree with me.

I don't care what you do with your life. Throw away it, I couldnt be more satisfied. Why did I make this post? Now you've atleast read this, and I KNOW you recognize yourself, but you just wont admit it to yourself. Thats typical. What can I say? Its no use to try to convince you. It seems like you have decided to throw away some more time, and that's ok.

Leica: Can you send me the tone? Haha and no, I got top grades and I am very happy with my life. If I wanted, i could sell my life aswell. I got the time and the money. The difference between you and me is that I got the intellect to now whats right.

Snyrf: Girlfriend? Just because you have a girlfriend and play wow DOESNT MEAN YOU HAVE A LIFE. Its just another proof how desperate wow players are to brag about their, allow me to say, "shabby" girlfriends and fool the others and lie about their so called "lives".
Tbh, I didnt read whole your post. But I guess you have a point, and yes I can agree with you. Some actually handle great wow encouters, jobs, school, other irl stuff and so on. I tell you, these are the people that would NEVER, EVER bother to answer on a post like I just made. Cuz they would feel its so out of their nature, and they wouldnt even react to what I wrote. One may leave a sarcastic comment, but that's ok. They still know they got their life, and thats ok.

Everybody who tries to defend themselves, show me that they are taken by my message. Its just so funny, to hear the explanations. Cuz I know I am right. And you guys know it aswell. But lets face it, in here i am 1 against a guild. But i guess that is what you need to bring me down. I cant wait until I get banned! :D

I don't remember saying that I could juggle that shit. That's why I don't raid anymore.

But clearly you lack the intellect to spell 'know'.

Now is a reference to time.

Know is a reference to knowledge.

You remind me of the average viewer of Fox News: you read the headline only and don't bother to dig deeper. "I read this there, so it must be true!!!"

Ever heard of a hobby? Some people play sports, some people go out on weekends and get hammered, others play WoW. Who gives a shit what someone else does with their time? If they have fun with it, good for them. Just the same if someone wants to be Catholic and another wants to be Muslim, its kind of bigoted and ignorant to try and convert everyone to what you think is the right way of doing things.

Nearly all the old, retired VM members/officers like myself will tell you that sure, we spent a hell of a lot of time playing. But it certainly is not something we regret. Fun is fun, who cares what is fun for someone else.

Miserable pricks like you should do us all a favor and go skydiving without a parachute.

Are all Europeans this stupid? Oh look at that, I made a generalization!

It's fine because: "I don't need to do research to know what I'm talking about."
