A question for Slayton

I just saw the video of the Eredar Twins kill on the PTR and couldn't help but notice you were doing more damage than my frost mage! I am currently holy, but I've been stockpiling ret. gear for a while now and I was wondering if you could offer me any pointers on maxing out my dps. Thanks in advance!

Not really related to the post above but to the topic, so...
I just wanted to ask for the names of the songs used in the Eredar Twins video? (
This one to be sure)
They rock.:D

i also would be very interested in Slaytons setup/overall performance. i'm currently my guilds resident Prot Pally, but have wanted to try ret in raids for quite some time. problem is im having trouble convincing my guild that they are viable.
how well do you do on damage, Slayton? also, what other benefits does the guild like enough that they want you there?
thanks a ton!

I range on average 8th-11th on damage meters. Depends on fight, because I'm usually in the 2nd melee group that doesn't get unleashed rage. (hurts my dps a bit)
You should be doing 75% damage of what a rogue is doing with = gear and skill.
Gear warrior gear. Standard warrior gear. No armor penetration. You need to be wearing cat's edge + divine retribution legs for executioner to be > then Mongoose, no other armor penetration setup works for a paladin.
I would use the armory and catch me on a tuesday night to see my spec/gear choices. They are a tiny bit different then standard retribution choices, but so far it is working for me quite well.
hope I answered any questions, and I apologize for it taking me so long to get back to everyone.

Thanks! I'll be checking your armory page tonight, and no worries about the delayed response.

This also answers my question to some degree from the other thread I posted, but I'll also try to catch you on a Tuesday (probably not Apr. 8th, as I'm going out of town for 3 weeks the day after) to compare notes.
Thanks Slayton.
