I just want a better program to put music onto my ipod. Is there anything out there better than Itunes for this? Please say yes and help me!

Uh, I've never had an iPod, but friends of mine do, and I know they used to put it in a mode where it was just like a raw hard drive. They would come over and just xfer shit from my music folder straight to their iPod. I've never had iTunes, so there is some way to do it.

pretty sure you can just open My Computer > iPod Hard Drive (E:) > and then dump whatever files you want onto it, including music... whether or not it decides to recognize those music files when you're out, i have no clue.

but knowing apple i would venture a guess that it wouldn't work without iTunes...

You can do it, but you need to enable some option in iTunes, but after you do you shouldn't need iTunes anymore.

It;s like, enable Disk use or something like that. My iPod is in my car and I am way too lazy to go and get it to find out.

You can try Anapod Explorer. I don't use it, but I know some people who hate iTunes and use it instead.

It currently doesn't support the iPhone or iTouch, but all older versions of the iPod are supported. I think it might also be shareware, so you will probably have to pay for it, but it works really well with windows and is easy to use.

Yeah, I think Anapod costs money. Yamipod is a free program that you can use to transfer music onto/off of your ipod http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/home/. It's not really better than itunes though, in my opinion. How about you stop bitching like you do about everything and use itunes, fruit.

Ephpod also (free).

But I just use iTunes. It's one of the best programs I've been able to find that can manage my 160gb of music efficiently...

Ok, so I've never used iTunes, but what's the big deal? I have 350 odd gigs of music, and I don't need a program to manage it. It's in alphabetical order with very general genre folders. I don't have an iPod either, but I imagine there's like a wheel and you scroll down to the folder/album you want and press enter. Stop being Scopars.
