@ VM Rogues: Hit Rating

Recently I was browsing armories of various VM rogues and noticed an interesting trend. Nearly all of your rogues have 297 hit rating. I was under the impression that the hit cap was much larger than this, so I'm wondering why the number 297.

Is it a conscious choice to have only 297 hit rating, or is it a restriciton given to you by blizzard itemization in T6?

If it is a conscious choice, what was the reasoning behind it?

And, of course, a thank you in advance to all responses.

I've got 307!

I think it is just pure coincidence + we all wear nearly the same gear and its all gemmed just about the same as well.

I'd take more if i could get more personally.

Our usage of a moonkin druid allows for our melee to replace what would otherwise be hit rating with better stats(gems). I would assume that is the difference in % to which you're referring. Imp Faerie Fire: http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=33602

Thanks guys, I appreciate the responses.

I'd never noticed the faerie fire improvement before as we have very few active druids raiding in our guild these days.

Just glad to know the fact that I've been gemming and stacking hit wasn't more than I should be. Thanks.

Official statement:

We are all virtually hit capped at 297 + 20 from food buff + 3% moonkin aura, which is 47.28 hit rating.

298 or 297 is the way to go for us. If I had the option I might drop more hit for agility, but consistency of being hit capped is pretty nice when it comes at a mere 297~ hit.
